Dried Apple Rings

Ingredients

Apples (any kind, but the sweeter the better!)

Ground Cinnamon (optional)

Recipe

1) Pre-heat the oven to 140C/285F (You can also cook these in an air fryer or dehydrator).

2) Core the apples and then slice into thick rings. Sprinkle lightly with ground cinnamon (optional).

3) Spread out on a non-stick baking tray and place in the oven for 60-90 mins or until dried and slightly crispy on the outside, but still soft on the inside.

4) Remove from the oven and cool. Enjoy your delicious snack and keep extras in a sealed container for several days or freeze in larger batches.

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.

Don’t forget to keep the skins on your veg where possible for essential added fibre and nutrition.
