Fruity Oat Waffles

Follow our simple and healthy recipe to make some delicious waffles that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even as a tasty snack!

Ingredients
200g Oats
30g Ground Flaxseeds/Linseeds
100ml Water
1 Banana
2 tsp Lemon Zest
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Recipe

1) Blend all dry ingredients (oats, flaxseeds, cinnamon) in a food processor or high speed blender until it turns into a powder.

2) Add the banana, lemon zest & water to the blender and blend until a thick batter is made.

3) Preheat your waffle maker & then pour the batter in & close lid. Keep closed until done, following appliance instructions for timings (appliances vary).

4) When cooked, lift waffle out and repeat waffle making until you run out of batter. Top with fresh fruit for a delicious treat!

Top Tips

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.

Don’t forget to keep the skins on your veg where possible for essential added fibre and nutrition.
