Breakfast is your first fuel for the day and there are so many delicious choices.

It's best to choose foods high in energy to help fuel you for the day ahead, plus high in fibre and essential nutrients.

Craving something a bit naughty for breakfast? You can't go wrong with this healthy option chocolate banana recipe to give you that chocolatey hit of deliciousness!

If you don't like oats or have an oat or gluten allergy/intolerance then just swap out the oats for quinoa or buckwheat instead.

Ingredients

30-40g Oats
120-150ml Water
1 tsp Cacao/Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Ground Flaxseeds
1 Small Banana
1 tsp Cacao Nibs (optional) or a little grated dark choc (85% or higher)

Recipes

1) Add oats to a mason jar or breakfast bowl. Top with water.
2) Add cacao/cocoa powder and flaxseeds and stir well.
3) Leave to soak overnight in the fridge.
4) In the morning, top with fresh chopped banana and a spoonful of cacao nibs (or if you're feeling like a special treat, a drizzle of melted or grated dark chocolate!).
5) Heat in the microwave if you like it hot or eat cold if you prefer.
